American Values Question

I don't think its America's value system that has influenced people to destroy histoprical sites. It's not America's decision, it's the individuals responsibility to priortize what they find need to care for. Personally, I love and highly appreciates this amazing world that God has created for us and I am careful to preserve what I can so others can enjoy it as well. Even man made structures.. They become part of the scenerey and our nations history. It's what makes up our nation. Neglect and destruction of historical structures is quite a shame really. It has value to America. Despite these crazy times, American's still retain good values; the individual decides which values to live by. The many historical sites spanning the US can be so easily appreciated and many more Amreicans are noticing or becoming more aware of their importance to American history or just a history in general. Whether it be an old school or the white house, it all adds to our history.

Snow!!!!

Okay, so it finally snowed on the island!! It hasnt snowed for five or six years here! So today was such a big and exciting day for me. I love the snow. Hate the cold. Love the snow.
I didn't have the chance to go and play though because I had classes today until three and then I had to drive my frozen car to MJ so I could work, only to learn that we were closing in an hour. It all turned out okay; I was able to walk in it on my way to and from classes. My favorite things about walking through the snow is when i can catch the flakes in my mouth and letting them melt, and when they land on my eyelashes and I can see them when I close my eyes. Call me crazy, but those are my favorite things.
Since I finished work earlier than expected, I went home to CB and borrowed my younger brothers slick athetic pants so I could play in the snow before going to bed tonight. The thing is though, my younger brother is 15 and stands 6 ft 3 1/2 inches tall and, needless to day, were hilariously too large to fit me and all my 5'6". Oh well. I wore them anyway. Steve Erkle style the rest of the evening. I layered up, and headed to the intermural fields because no one had touched them all day. I was prepared to be out playing in the cold. Yes, playing...I am a five year old at heart and I love it. I wore socks, leggings, jeans, slick athletics, tank, short sleeve, sweater, jacket and winter coat, headband, hat, scarf and gloves. I get cold easily and my logic works like this: I go prepared and if I get hot thenI shed a few layers, when I get cold again then I take those layers and put them back on. At least I'm not stuck freezing my butt off like an idiot.
Anyway, I called a friend and asked him if he would humor me in a snow play date and he agreed. I made pictures and angels in the snow, we played dizzy bat, and we slid on ice puddles. I had a great snow evening! Even though I suck at dizzy bat so bad. I made it ten feet before smashing face first into bare snow. Should of made a video is all I'm saying cause it took me so long to find the stupid light pole we were racing to. After you fall its impossible to get up against the way your head is spinning and your body tends to go a whole different way than you think you're going:) Needless to say, I had a great time and looked ridiculus doing so! But what else is new in my life:)

I forgot the assignment

Alright, so I was looking through other nonprocrastinaors blogs from our class and realized i didn't remember the assignment.. So just to make sure I've got my butt covered I'll blog about the blogs I found, like everyone else blogged about.
I found a blog about a jewish lady and just the telling of her day or how her week went. She blogs about her job a lot and how she wants her future to be or really just inquires about what it will be like. I found that shes just a normal lady, living in normal society, in normal time.
My second blog was from edweek.org and I chose a blogsite(??) called motivation matters. It talks about programs their organization are trying to promote, legalicies for getting these programs started and why they are important. It is a very purposeful blog so as to inform the publuc persons and to receive feedback as well.
I found parts of both blogs interesting in some ways and incredibly dull in others. As a person reading the blogs, I would lose intrest and lose interest quick. While on the computer, I would rather be entertained. I love a good laugh and love to hear amusing stories or embarrassing moments. I've got plenty and I get a good laugh at them.

My First

Well..This is my first blog ever in my entire life. My thought was that blogs are fairly similar to a diary and I immeadiatly remembered how bad I am at being a consistant writter in a diary. Looking through my diary entry dates I found out quickly that it had been months between these two entries, weeks between these, and even about two and a half years between another set of entries. Oh well, it is what it is:) I guess while my title was about firsts id kind of ramble bout that.
A "first" with any topic is a very exciting thing. First steps, first day of class(at least back when those were exciting and we couldn't wait), first lost tooth, first day without braces, first crush, first boyfriend, first kiss, first cell phone, first car....and the list continues. I always found it funny how even though you continue to do or revisit the action, you remember the first time the best.
My second car doesnt have nearly as much memories or emotions tied with it as my second car. Ha, my first car was an '89 suzuki sidekick sport, like a geo tracker, and i bought it for $625. It was a peice of crap! But I loved it to death. I drove it for over a year when it should have been in a junkyard after about 5 months. The windows didnt roll up, the soft top was falling apart, I had hardwire for door handles, the seats had holes in them and weren't clipped to the floorboards. It would shake and the stupid stick wouldn't jam into reverse,my speakers sat in the back seat and the whole underside was so rusted the mechanics wouldnt work on it. Oh yea! It sucked that bad! But I loved that car. The second car works a WHOLE lot better, but it will never match my first car. Kinda like how they say that parents love the first child more than the second one, and its not true, only its true for me.
Well, not sure bout this blogging thing yet but hopefully it all works out and its no big deal whatsoever. It kinda sucks though for me cause right now I have to type with one hand because of my broken wrist. It makes things a tad more difficult for me. Hakuna Matata:)
